Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is a very popular form of digital marketing that optimises your website to rank for valued keywords to drive converting traffic.

SEO is a form of inbound marketing. This means it targets an audience who is actively seeking you or your solution out.

However, SEO does not provide an instant solution. It can take months before you start seeing real results from your SEO activities. But with a good SEO strategy, once you start seeing results, you’ll reap significant benefits.

Search Engine Advertising (SEA), also known as Pay Per Click (PPC) is a method of marketing your brand/website via paid advertising.

PPC requires you to identify an audience, commonly via search terms known as Key Words. You then pay to have your ad or brand put in front of this audience. Because of this, it can deliver instant results and proves to be a staple in many business’ digital marketing strategy.

CRO looks at the flow of your website and optimises it in a way that will maximise your website’s performance. Ultimately, the number of leads or purchases through the website. This should be done through A/B Split testing. Make small, measurable changes to your web pages in experiments and calculate which changes yield the best results. This should be done continuously, and every experiment should be run multiple times.

A/B Split testing allows you to drive any permanent changes with data. This is why it’s important to have a significant amount of traffic going to that page before you invest in CRO. You should think long and hard before working with an agency that claims you need CRO services right off the bat.

CRO is about constantly improving your webpage. This can only be done if you have a way to measure the results.
